One of the most common questions clients ask is, "what is the difference between Botox and Xeomin?"
Both Botox and Xeomin are a form of botulinum toxin type A, however the difference lies in how they are manufactured. Xeomin is a purified form of botulinum toxin type A, essentially meaning it has no additives, while Botox is composed of a complex mixture of proteins.
Due to its purified nature, Xeomin may have longer lasting effects for some patients because the body is less likely to build a resistance to the product. However, everyone's body responds differently. Product choice and dosing will be discussed based on a thorough assessment of muscle anatomy and history of neurotoxin use.

Neurotoxins and Fillers are both cosmetic treatments that address visible signs of aging, but work in different ways. Neurotoxins limit movement of the muscles, or can freeze the muscles under the skin to reduce wrinkles that come from facial expressions, such as on the forehead and around the eyes. Fillers address areas of the skin that have lost volume due to aging, such as on the cheeks and around the mouth. Fillers can also be used to enhance certain features, such as the lips.
Neurotoxins and Fillers can be used together or separately, depending on the desired outcome and individual treatment goals. As a Registered Nurse in this industry, it is my goal to keep my clients as natural as possible and use toxins and fillers to enhance the individual's natural beauty. Assessment and personal goals will be utilized to provide a harmonious appearance to the treatment area. Goals, side effects, post care and treatment plans are discussed on a case by case basis.
